Week 4 Term 3 Blog Post!

 Welcome to my Week 4 Term 3 blog post! 

This week week is CRAZY! Tuesday we moved to level 2... So we might be going back into lockdown. And Wednesday is pajama day! Wednesday we also get pies and donuts (only if you bought it)!

For LTP Monday I did Junky Monkey. Junky Monkeys goals are taking stuff apart and then putting them back together. I was only here on Monday and I almost finished my hybrid on Monday! But it was still pretty fun though.

That's pretty much all that's happening. Sports practice is still on this week but we don't know about Saturday sports games yet! Koka Terri wasn't here on Monday and Wednesday she's isn't feeling well.

We also started a new art piece last week on Friday and we do the art when were finished. I'm almost finished I just need to dye it. The art is about Autumn leaves even though it's Winter. We had to draw the leaves with warm colors in the leaves, and cold colors for the background. 

Maths-Whizz is still the same!  Last week I got 7 progressions and 90 minutes. This week I got 83 minutes and 7 progressions. I got a screenshot at the way bottom of my blog!

Week 3 Term 3 Blog post

Hello and welcome to my Week 3 Term 3 blog post! This week is a pretty normal week. Only few interesting things every now and then.

First off Monday I wasn't here. Lets go to Tuesday. On Tuesday we played a game. Halfway through Koka Ngaire showed me and the other kids that were away on Monday, a new maths program. It's called Maths-Whizz. And also Flynn came to school on Tuesday! He has finally come back! It's been so long. But today (Wednesday), he is away from school AGAIN!

Good news! LTP (Learning through play) is still active! On Tuesday for LTP I went to Junkey Monkey (See my last weeks blog to know what Junkey Monkey is), and created a hybrid! I took string and attached a turtle shell onto Bing Bong (Bing Bong is a character from Inside Out movie)! LTP was quite interesting. Another group of people (Girls), made a walking doll using strings. And another person tried to make a boat. The goal of Junkey Monkey is to take apart stuff and put them back together in a different way. Look at the bottom of the blog to see pictures!

Cross country is coming up soon! So should be fun. We haven't started training yet. Anyways, since I don't have anything else to share, that is my Week 3 Term 3 blog post!

Week 2 blog post.

This week is pretty normal. Only changes is that Koka Jo had to go in class Wednesday instead of Thursday. I also had to go home early on Tuesday because I didn't feel well and Wednesday I'm back at school because my parents are at work.

There isn't much to tell you this week because nothing interesting happened. The only interesting thing that happened was that we finally fully started LTP. I went to Junkey Monkey. In Junkey Monkey you take apart toys to see what is inside them. We also had to change the workshop timetable a bit because Koka Terri isn't going to be in class for 1 block.

Our maths strand group started mapping the school. So today (Wednesday) we're going to walk around our school to find places and see if our maps are correct. And our maps were correct. Next week we're going to tell our buddies how to get to certain points using instructions.

For Huia reading (Level 3 reading) we had to find problems in our community and this Thursday we're going to write how to solve one of them! Then we're going to make a app. The problems I could find was reckless driving, swearing, pollution, drunk driving, forestry slash, illegal rubbish dumping, plastic in the ocean, illegal graffiti, vandalism and homeless people.

I'm also on road patrol Monday afternoons. And we have cross country in week 5... there is no special event this week. I do not know what else to say! And that is my blog for Week 2 Term 3!

First Week At School In Term 3 2020

This term is WAY more different than term 2! First thing we did on Monday morning is look at the new
check in sheet! Which is way more different. This is how it used to look: Click here And this is how it
looks now: Click here. Then we went through our priorities until brain break. After brain break we did
ninja maths (Click here) until morning tea. There is a LOT of changes this term but were getting used
 to it.

This term we also started LTP (Learning through play). LTP only happens on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The options are, Planet Construct, Cardboard Nation, Junky Monkey and Makey Makey. My favorite is
 Junkey Monkey because you get to take apart hard toys and see what's inside them.

This term we also have to show evidence that we did stuff so that's a new feature on the check in page.
We also had a quick write about endangered animals this week. There are a lot of changes this term as I
said earlier.

This week we also started a new book series called The Bone Tiki! It's a book about a boy whose dad is a lawyer but he works with people that do illegal business. In the book the mom and dad are also divorced. We were reading 39 clues the maze of bones but we stopped because people finished reading the book on epic (I'm only at chapter 6 and I'm behind BY FAR because I was away the week when they started reading it so now I'm stressed about it).

Just Dance is not happening this term (And I'm sad about that) and.. a lot of people are upset. ;-;
But Just Dance is still happening in discovery! YAY! :) So Just Dance is completely gone, but were still upset about it. Man I'm going to miss Waka Waka. Speaking of Waka Waka, Wednesday term 2 on the last week of school we performed the song Waka Waka. I was the only person who remembered to bring my costume. But I don't know our score because I was away on Thursday, to get ready for Friday when we go to Auckland.
